“We are the ones we have been waiting for”
This trip was catalyzed firstly by a Twitter poll, secondly by Sam Harris’s appearance on the Triggernometry podcast, and thirdly by a back and forth between myself and Jebb Young.
The Poll
If you haven’t noticed Earth is, shall we say, an interesting place to be right now, so I figure it’s time to do interesting things, experiment as it were. If you don’t know much about me, I consider myself a spiritual person, having called myself a dialectical/dual-aspect monist and/or a “Hindu” at times. Furthermore, I'm not a classical Christian, but I do like the idea of behaving Christlike. Originally, I chose “The Fool” tarot card as my avatar and even had my sister paint myself in its likeness, because to quote my Twitter bio “one great aspect of this archetype is the aspect of faith, the walking into space without regard for what is to come next”. And I am a man of great faith.
But also this card symbolizes “The Choice”, analogous to Adam eating the forbidden fruit, a metaphor for humanity being given free will. Accordingly, I’ve always viewed “The Fool” and Adam to be interchangeable archetypes *foreshadowing*. Beyond the tarot, I’ve studied many religions and many of their texts, but my philosophy also closely mirrors those that adhere to the so called “simulation theory”. I believe (and also have experienced imo) that if you focus intently on something you can consciously create it. I’ve always been fascinated by The Book of Revelation and the idea of an apocalypse (Greek definition) and a Second Coming, so I posited the question on Twitter, “Are we in apocalyptic times?”. The purpose was mainly to gauge whether there was a critical mass to potentially manifest said apocalypse, and in effect finally come together as a people and be more Christlike. The answer was a resounding yes, with 80% of the pollees responding in the affirmative, along with me!

Clearly my followers and other folk that came across my twitter account that day believed that the times are dire/ridiculous enough to merit being labeled apocalyptic. Since, then I’ve been stewing over reasonable ways to harness this energy which led to me to some antics that I will reveal later in the stack that could potentially be of some inspiration. Now just to remind everyone I have a track record of being somewhat of a troll/social engineer cc: @emptywheel, but I assure you that my actions had no blasphemous intent and were done seriously, respectfully as possible, and in pure benevolence.
Sam Harris on Triggernometry
If you haven’t listened to this entire podcast, you seriously need to.
The idea of a moral atheist is oxymoronic to me, but Sam Harris’s cheerleading of an ethical conspiracy to subvert democracy was seriously bothersome and I know I wasn’t the only one. This inspired me to fire up my spaces to discuss this disgrace of a person, and it ended up being a really great conversation between Gene Douglass (a devout Christian), Bo Bo (a practical atheist), and your boy. This discussion also held an Easter egg, but more on that in a bit. Links to the chat can be found here:

Jebb Young Advised Me to See More of Missouri
Before I recorded the Harris spaces, a friend of mine, Jebb Young, and I got into a back and forth on whether I should travel to a certain political event in southern Missouri, needless to say I didn’t think it was wise and in the end I don’t believe he thought it was either. However, this “argument”, for reasons I can’t really explain, triggered me to troll him a bit, but in a way that was productive in my eyes. I do not actually remember how I came to be aware of this back then, but I was immediately drawn to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the various prophecies that were supposed to occur in northern Missouri, was it Jebb’s last name? Who knows? Anyhow, Joseph Smith prophesized that Adam would one day return to a valley in Daviess County, Missouri called Adam-ondi-Ahman and “visit his people”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_and_Eve_in_Mormonism
Now I have great respect for the Mormons, but I am no Latter-day Saint. I couldn’t fathom what one man gathering thousands of his people in a valley in northern Missouri would look like, unless that man was a FOOL talking to his followers on a smartphone on some bird app. Thusly, instead of heading south I went north and unbeknownst to anyone involved in the Twitter spaces I stood in Adam-ondi-Ahman visiting thousands of my people, discussing Sam Harris and why we were all here.
Am I Adam? No, I’m FOOL NELSON, I’m just some guy, but in reality Adam was a metaphor for mankind having a choice and the whole point of my exercise was to express that we must self-fulfill prophecy. If Christians want Jesus to return it must be their sole collective desire and they must be Christlike, and if Mormons believe that the Second Coming occurs after Adam returns to Adam-ondi-Ahman *cue Enrique Iglesias* “I can be your Adam, baby”, but now they must focus intently on Jesus's homecoming (to Sam Harris's great dismay!). And again I must emphasize this, I didn’t mean to commit any kind of heresy against the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, and I do not believe I am Adam, I did this solely to prove a point: in my eyes these apocalyptic times should be a period where we all come together as people of Earth (or at least the United States) and behave more Christlike, Scott Adams refers to this as the golden age, and we can’t come together without the Christians and the Christians can’t come together without the Mormons.
Miraculously as a side note, this trip amongst others literally saved me, but that's for another stack, in the mean time please enjoy more of the true beauty of Adam-ondi-Ahman. - Love, FOOL
This is dedicated to Ryan M (UndeadFOIA), he's put more skin in the game than I imagined an anonymous Twitter sleuth ever would. https://undeadfoia.substack.com/p/fundraising-update?utm_source=%2Finbox&utm_medium=reader2
I dare someone to send this to Mitt Romney
